Privacy policy

How we handle enquiries and information connected with our services.

How we handle information

We collect the contact and service information needed to respond to enquiries, arrange visits and provide pharmacist services. We do not collect health information through this website. Referral details are sent from the referrer's own email client or through an access-controlled Microsoft 365 file request link when available.

Why we collect it

We use information to contact patients, prepare for a visit, provide the service, and communicate a report or summary to the referring or nominated doctor. We handle health information under the Australian Privacy Principles and the NSW Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.

Recording and AI scribe

With a patient's informed consent, a Shore Meds pharmacist may use Heidi to record and transcribe a visit. We seek consent before recording starts. The pharmacist checks and verifies any generated notes before using them in a report. A patient can ask questions about this process before the visit.

Storage and sharing

We use access-controlled Microsoft 365 storage for clinical records. We share relevant information with the referring or nominated doctor with consent. Records are kept for at least seven years, with longer periods where required for minors. We respond to suspected data breaches under our legal obligations, including the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where applicable.

At launch, private session enquiries use the sender's own email client. The website does not use an external booking or payment provider.

Access, correction and contact

To ask about information we hold, request a correction or raise a privacy concern, email info@shoremeds.com.au. We will respond and explain the next steps.
